Account Setup Guide for: Netscape 7.0 and Mozilla 1.X for Microsoft Windows

Netscape mail is a component of the Netscape software package. This guide uses the Windows 2000 version, but the steps should be very similar for Windows 95, 98, Me, and XP.

Because Netscape is based on Mozilla, this guide also applies to setting up mail in Mozilla (at least up through version 1.4)

To begin setting up Netscape to connect to your HotPOP account, open the program. It is commonly found in the "Programs" section of the "Start" menu. If this is the first time you have run the program, it may present you with a setup wizard and create a profile. You may complete these steps if you wish, and then return to this guide when finished.

Click on the envelope icon as shown in the screenshot below or press ctrl+2 to open the mail component.

A popup window will appear to begin the setup wizard. Make sure the "Email Account" option is selected and click the "Next" button.
