HotPOP offers several levels of service to best suit your needs. (If you aren't sure which one is best for you, don't worry, you can always change your mind later!) Found one you like? Sign up now! Mailbox Size Mailbox size is the amount of mail you can keep on the server. The average message is about 10,000 bytes in size. Your mailbox size is usually given in "MB" or Mega Bytes. One Mega Byte is one million bytes. So, if your Mailbox Size is "10 MB" that means you can hold about 1000 messages. If your mailbox is full, people sending you email will get a response from our server telling them this, and that they should re-send the message later. If you receive lots of attachments or long emails, HotPOP recommends you use one of our premium accounts so that you will get all your mail. Back to top Ad-Free Accounts HotPOP supports its service through two methods, advertisements and subscriptions. While we prefer users to be subscribers and think it provides a better experience, we realize that many users would rather experience our services free of charge. To help support those users, we send advertisements from select companies to your HotPOP mailbox, and display banners and other ads on our website. If you select an Ad-Free Account, we cannot guarantee that you will not receive unsolicited advertisements ("Spam"), but we can guarantee that your address will not be sold or rented to anyone by us. We will also hide all banners and other ads on the website when you are logged in there. If you upgrade to an Ad-Free Account after signing up for a free one, HotPOP will remove you from any lists we have and notify all of our advertising partners to have you removed from thier lists also. HotPOP will never send advertisements to your alternate email addresses or any other that you provide to us or disclose those addresses to other companies. Back to top Forwarding Destination Addresses A Forwarding Destination Addresses is an email address that you want any email received at your HotPOP address sent to. Most accounts allow you to send mail to multiple addresses, which means that a message your HotPOP account will be sent to each address. If you have 1 or more Forwarding Destination Addresses set, mail will not be stored in your HotPOP mailbox. This means if you log in with a POP client to our servers you will not see any mail. Back to top Maximum Message Size This is the largest message that you will be able to send or receive with your HotPOP account. Most POP clients allow you to segment messages, which means that if you go over the specified size it will send multiple messages. These messages will then be rejoined by the recipient's client. Back to top Messages Received This is the number of messages you can receive per day at your HotPOP address. Messages that are blocked by the "Block Messages" tool do not count towards this total. Back to top Messages Sent This is the number of messages you can send per day from your HotPOP address through our SMTP servers. Back to top Price This is the price you will be charged per month or per year (depending on which one you select) for access to your account.
